3-D Secure (3DS) is the secure protocol designed to ensure enhanced security and strong authentication for you when you use your debit or credit cards for online purchases. It is called, depending on the card type, “MasterCard Identity Check”, “Visa Secure” and, “American Express Safekey”. In the future when you transact, you may be asked to provide a special security code or to log into your online banking app by your card issuer to authorise your payment or add your card to a PayPal account. Card issuing banks have different methods of authenticating their customers, and therefore if you are not able to complete this you may need to contact your bank
